With the FL plugins your synthesizing a sound based on the sound engine of the synth, so you may have more control with sound design I haven't had the need to buy something like Kontact because I feel contempt with it. I wouldn't really say any of them are too advanced but have their own purposes. They don't have to be, like with Sytrus being FM synthesis you can make bells and all sorts of keyboard sounds (or use presets) using it's FM capabilities, Morphine is an additive synth which let's you adjust partials individually so you can really replicate any sound period, comes with a steep learning curve though, I've just touched the surface of Morphine recently So if you have percussive loops or drums loops you would have to something like SliceX, I think this is a deal breaker for me but it depends on your needs
